One cannot think well, love well, sleep well unless one has dined well.
Virginia Woolf ‘ A Room of One’s Own’

The mission this year is to log and blog interesting news from the Irish Artisan Food Movement as it happens and help colour in the gap between what we eat and where it is produced.

At the markets you can meet your local food producers and find out for yourself where the food you like to eat comes from and how it is made and you decide for yourself whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Meet your maker so to speak!

I will bring to you all the news from the markets and hopefully others will contribute too through news or comments.

“From the oyster to the eagle, from the swine to the tiger, all animals are to be found in men and each of them exists in some man, sometimes several at the time. Animals are nothing but the portrayal of our virtues and vices made manifest to our eyes, the visible reflections of our souls. God displays them to us to give us food for thought.”

Victor Hugo
